Strawberry Hill Anniversary Shoot | Simone and Dwayne
The setting of this Strawberry Hill Anniversary Shoot was absolutely beautiful!
A friend of mine recently contacted me about a possible ‘photoshoot’ for a married couple. He explained to me that they are about to celebrate their 6th wedding anniversary and would like a photoshoot as part of their celebration. When he told me they wanted to do it at Strawberry Hill I was absolutely elated! I quickly made contact with them and found out that they were two beautiful people with a remarkable story. Their story is best told by Dwayne below:
“Simone and I met on the campus of the University of the West Indies in 2006 where she was a final year student. She was at a party (that I understand she should not have been at), while I was there as usual trying to steal a dance from every pretty girl. I asked her for a dance and she agreed, but her friend pulled her away in a couple of minutes thinking that she was intoxicated (she might have been). When the party ended ,I looked for her on the outside and saw her and her friend walking to her hall. I asked to accompany them and that is where the history began. Luckily she agreed to see me the next day and I was pleasantly surprised at how simple, humble and beautiful she was. She told me years later that she didn’t realise how handsome I was until that first official date.
We were from different worlds – I, a country boy from the hills of St. Andrew while she was (and still is) a girl from Central Kingston. One of the traits I love about her is that she is never ashamed of who she was and where she came from. Five years later I asked her to marry me right in front of her gate. After six years of marriage, I am glad I can still say that this has been one of my better decisions in life.”
Isn’t that a wonderful love story? Simone and Dwayne, I wish for you guys the very best in your marriage. I pray that the Lord will continue to guide your paths as you continue along the journey of marriage. I am truly happy to have been able to capture these memories for you guys.
One Love!
