Wedding Photography Rates
Weddings are extremely complex and dynamic. No two (or three) weddings are the same. There are a lot of different things to consider – the location and venue, time of year, number of guests, bridal showers and parties, wedding favors, invitations, choosing the perfect vendors… At the end of the day, only you can decide what is best for you and your budget. I strongly believe that your wedding photography (and cinematography) options should be simple, straightforward and easy to select.
Again, all weddings are unique and your specific requirements may be different from what is listed in a standalone ‘package’. It is for this reason that I prefer to have a discussion about your specific needs for photography and videography for your wedding day. Afterall, you may choose to have only 5 hours of coverage but you may also want luxury album, or a large format wall print on canvas. You may even choose to skip the add-on altogether and just go for all day coverage to ensure that all your important moments are captured.
MY PHOTOGRAPHY RATES ARE STRAIGHTFORWARD:
My wedding photography collections range from US$5500 to US$2800. You can choose from any of my four collections depending on your particular needs for photography on your wedding day. My most popular package – the Classic Collection – sells for US$3500. Please complete the contact form above if you would like to hear more details about each package. If my established package options do not suit your needs, you can build your own personalized package from the ground up using hourly rates and a number of different add-on options. Whichever option you choose, it will ALWAYS come with the following:
- Pre wedding consultation
- Password protected online gallery
- Your collection of professionally edited digital images
- An assistant to help with lighting and other logistics
You always have the option to add other items to your collection after you have booked… so things like additional time, a second (or third) photographer, an engagement or styled session, a Photobook or Parent Album, or even a wall print are all available as a-la-carte options to choose from.
Let’s further break down all the things you get with every package:
The Pre-Wedding Consultation – This helps us to establish expectations for the wedding day. It allows us to get to know each other better and build a better rapport with each other. During the consultation we will go over your wedding day timeline in detail to ensure we both know exactly what to expect from each other.
Password Protected Online Gallery – Your wedding images will be delivered in a secure password protected online gallery. The gallery is typically delivered between 4 to 6 weeks after your wedding day. You have unlimited downloads for ONE YEAR and these include full size high resolution files, and smaller web sized files ideal for sharing online. You have the option of sharing your entire gallery with family and friends. You also have the power to make certain images private so only you have access to those files. You can also select the images you want in your wedding album from right within your gallery!
Professionally Edited Images – I have an extremely robust system for handling digital images. All my images are double backed up on the day of your wedding while I am shooting. After the wedding, these images are again backed up to two separate hard drives before being exported into my image editing software as a third layer of redundancy. Once in editing, I will cull or sort through all the images taken and remove those which are under or over exposed, out of focus, blurry, duplicates, or just otherwise unflattering. Once that process is complete, I edit every individual photo and correct for white balance, color and contrast. I offer professional retouching to a select number of images from your gallery (usually up to 30). If you require more images to be retouched you can get in touch to find out what the additional cost per image will be. Once completed, all images are uploaded to your password protected gallery and sorted into categories based on the different parts of your wedding day, namely Prep, First Look, Ceremony, Formals, and Reception.
Assistant – My assistant is with me at every wedding. This person is primarily responsible for handling logistics on the day. They manage things like gear and equipment inventory, lighting, and during the formals they will help with directing large groups. Their primary job is to help me stay organized and efficient during the day. Occasionally (like during the wedding ceremony) my assistant will take photos to give me a secondary angle. The assistant is different from a second shooter whose role is strictly to shoot and provide a second angle of the entire day.
Why don’t you list all your prices up front?
I find that while listing prices and packages upfront can be helpful for persons who just want to know the prices quickly and easily, it does not give me an opportunity to understand the specific needs of each and every client who may be interested in my services. While I have standard collections, they are not set in stone and are completely customizable; so having a better idea of what your needs are will help me to recommend the best information for your wedding – and your budget! Once we have established your budget and needs, I will send over a link to to all my collections so you can decide what works best for you.
Finally, there are also a number of other factors that may affect package costs: – for example, I may be running promotions or discounts; OR your wedding may be a scaled down wedding without the need for traditional coverage. On the other hand, you may be having a unique wedding like an Indian Wedding which spans three to four days. Your wedding may also require travel out of town or even out of country and travel costs have to be factored into the pricing.
