After Priyanka graduated medical school, she went for an interview in Winnipeg, Canada with Dr. Jitender Sareen (Jit) who happened to Ishq’s brother in law. During the interview she admitted that her desire was really to work in India. Jit was surprisingly understanding and told her that his brother in law (Ishq) had moved to India a few years ago to do music on the Bollywood Scene. He gave her Ishq’s number and told her she could contact him to help her with the transition.

9 months later, she was on a one way flight to Mumbai. Once she was in Mumbai, they began dating and later discovered that they both grew up just 15 houses away from each other and had never crossed paths. Now they were falling in love with each other all the way in Mumbai, India! Two years later, they decided to get married! and what better place to do so but in the beautiful island paradise of Jamaica!

I initially thought it would have been difficult and hectic shooting such a grand event, however both Ishq and Priyanka made me feel like family! It was as if I was simply documenting my own family gathering – all while learning new and exciting things!

There are sooooo many different parts to the wedding – filled with many colourful ceremonies and cultural practices! I hope these photos provide a small glimpse into what an amazing experience I had documenting the wedding of two special people in love!
